ALL BREEDS – Stall preparation commences on Sunday March 3, 2013 prior to 9:00 p.m.
(Enter through Lot 25A, off 25th Avenue)

Bulls arrive in barn and registered for weigh-in by 4:00 p.m. on Monday March 4, 2013

Please pay special attention to the change in show and sale dates for the 2013 Calgary Bull Sale. Click here for a full schedule. Please Note: Contributors wishing to show their bulls must nominate their bulls no later than Tuesday, March 5 by 2:00 p.m.

General Rules & Regulations

  1.  BREEDERS ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY:
    Breeders will have an opportunity to promote their breeding operation by purchasing ad space in the 2013 Calgary Bull Sale catalogue.  - ½ page B&W (7 ¼” x 5”) ad for $300.00 +GST
    - jpeg, gif or pdf print ready files accepted.
    ADS MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE OFFICE BY 4:00 PM ON DECEMBER 7, 2012

  2. CALGARY BULL SALE WEB SITE: www.calgarybullsale.com
    DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY: Send a digitized photograph of bulls entered to bwarder@calgarystampede.com by February 11. Bull Sale entries will be posted on the Calgary Bull Sale website for viewing with the inclusion of pedigree information.

  3. RANCH HORSE SALE will be held on Thursday, March 7 immediately following the last bull sold in the Victoria Pavilion.
  4. COMMERCIAL REPLACEMENT HEIFER SHOW AND SALE will be held on Wednesday, March 6 at 6:00 pm North Barn
  5. ANNUAL MEETING: The Alberta Cattle Breeders’ Annual Meeting, TUESDAY, MARCH 5, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the International Room. Your attendance is important to the future of the Calgary Bull Sale.

  6.  BREEDING UNIT:  All registered animals, whether owned by one person or by more than one person, which are maintained on one farm, are considered to be the production of one breeding unit. Where more than 1 person or family member is part of an existing unit, they may consign under their individual name (Consignor Unit) and sell with the existing breeding unit or individually in their alphabetical rotation.

  7. RELEASE OF BULLS:  Sellers are prohibited to tear-down or load out bulls until all bull sales are completed. No bulls may be removed from the sale premises without a release slip, which must be presented to designated staff upon release.

  8. ENTRY CLOSING: ENTRIES CLOSE ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2012.  Entries must be received in the office by 4:00 pm on December 7, 2012. Substitutions must be received in the Agriculture Entries Office by 4:00 pm on February 18, 2013.  A $20.00 fee and signed registration paper must accompany this substitution.

  9. CHEQUE PICK UP: Cheques that have met all settlement conditions will be available for pick up on TUESDAY, MARCH 12, 2013 in the Calgary Stampede Agriculture Department, 2nd level, Agriculture Building. Cheques, which have not been picked up will be mailed on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13, providing all settlement conditions are in order.

  10. STALLING: Please indicate on the entry form or call the office prior to February 13th to request particular stalling requirements.

  11. SCRATCHED BULL(s): In order to facilitate stabling, please notify the office if you are not bringing a bull(s).
